A wide variety of people are recruited by FCO Services. The generalist entrants at clerical support levels are expected to demonstrate the same competences of those joining the main Foreign & Commonwealth Office.
Specialists are recruited at many different levels with formal
qualifications ranging from ISEB Certificate or PRINCE 2
Practitioner for ICT Project Managers to RIBA membership for
Architects. Staff with these skills must still demonstrate general
competences appropriate to their pay band.
FCO Services has staff based at Hanslope Park (near Milton Keynes),
London and in British Embassies, High Commissions and
Consulates world-wide.
