Situation

Our customers want to be confident that they can communicate securely wherever they are in the world.  They need a range of communication technologies to cope with the local environment and terrain.  They need to be able to connect their regional offices with their central IT systems, using a seamless and integrated system to reach their colleagues, however far away and however remote they are.

Solution

Working with external suppliers, who provide the central infrastructures and systems to our customers' UK offices, we have designed and implemented a number of overseas systems, integrating both Wide Area Networks (WAN) and Local Area Networks (LAN). From office desktops to fully flexible and mobile IT, voice and video systems, we develop resilient secure architectures to meet our customers' needs for flexibility, simplicity and ease of use, especially when travelling or using third party premises. We've developed architectures that are fully accredited from unclassified to Top Secret because we know our customers need to work at different security tiers. 

Impact

Bringing secure global integrated networks to our customers brings many business benefits.  For one customer our systems enabled the secure and speedy transmission of information resulting in the confiscation and subsequent destruction of significant amounts of illegal substances.  Our work with the FCO on their Firecrest global infrastructure programmes helped to turn it into a single global online organisation.
